’Breeding Bird Survey’ in Derbyshire with the BTO’s David White 

The British Trust for Ornithology along with the RSPB sponsors the Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) which publishes the renowned Atlas of Breeding Birds in Britain and Ireland through the observations of thousands of volunteers. This is the main scheme for monitoring population changes in the UK’s common and widespread breeding birds, producing population trends which can be used to measure the consequences to the natural world, positive and negative, of particular decisions. A vital tool to inform the choices of decision makers.
